Hacettepe Üniversitesi Geomatik Mühendisliği Bölümü tarafından düzenlenen ISPRS Geospatial Hackathon bugün başlıyor. Bölümümüzden danışmanlığını yürüttüğüm yüksek lisans öğrencilerim Oya Burcu Bakioğlu ve Yunus Emre Elkar'ın da katılacağı etkinliğin yararlı olması dileklerimle... Yazılım önemli 😉

Dear Prof/Dr/Mr/Ms,

We would like to invite you to participate in the upcoming 4th International ISPRS Workshop on GeoInformation Science: GeoAdvances 2017 which will be held on 14-15 October 2017 at the branch campus of Karabuk University in a UNESCO World Heritage City; Safranbolu (Turkey).
The submission deadline has been extended to 5th of August, 2017. You are encouraged to submit Full Papers and Short Papers (Extended Abstracts) for the workshop.
One-day tutorial will be held on 13th October and a City Tour will be organized on 16th October.

4th International Workshop on GeoInformation Science: GeoAdvances 2017

(ISPRS Workshop on Multi-dimensional & Multi-scale Spatial Data Modeling)

The workshop will take place on 14-15 October 2017
at branch campus of KBU in a UNESCO World Heritage City; SAFRANBOLU

In the UNESCO World Heritage City: SAFRANBOLU
Safranbolu is a district of Karabük Province in the Black Sea region of Turkey. It is just 7 kilometers to Karabük Centrum. It is about two hundred kilometers north of Ankara. Former Turkish names of the town were Zalifre and Taraklıborlu and in Greek Saframpolis. The Old Town preserves many old buildings, with 1008 registered historical artifacts. These are: 1 private museum, 25 mosques, 5 tombs, 8 historical fountains, 5 Turkish baths, 3 caravanserais, 1 historical clock tower, 1 sundial and hundreds of houses and mansions. Also there are mounds of ancient settlements, rock tombs and historical bridges. Safranbolu was added to the list of UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE sites in 1994 due to its well-preserved Ottoman era houses and architecture.

On 16 April 2017 (Monday), a city tour will be organized. These places could be seen (in time limit):

Dear colleagues (apologies for cross posting),

The 3D geoinformation group (https://3d.bk.tudelft.nl) at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands is currently offering a PhD position about the automatic generation of semantic 3D city models from 3D textured meshes.
The PhD position is funded by the Dutch company CycloMedia (http://www.cyclomedia.com) and by an EU research project (https://itea3.org/project/ps-crimson.html) involving several companies. 
We expect the PhD student to collaborate with the staff at CycloMedia and other partners of the project.
